Setting the captives free
56 year old father and his children set free from slavery
This is G. He is 59 years old. His 53-year-old wife is S.
They have 8 children. G and S have been married since they were 15 years old.
As they started having children G’s wages weren’t enough to pay for medical bills. He began borrowing money to cover the debt
When his daughter, S was diagnosed with TB and asthma she needed medical treatment. This only added to the debt.
G found himself unable to repay the loans and they began their lives as slaves in a brick kiln. G and his family spend 12 hours a day making bricks and will never earn enough to pay off their debt. His daughters have suffered sexual harassment and face the danger of being vulnerable young women in a dangerous place.
Gulzar’s debt payoff is RS 410,312 which is approximately $2,435. RS 60,000 ($360) more is needed for relocation, food, household items. This along with the local pastors will set them up to succeed after slavery.
They needed a miracle to ever become free again. Jesus chose you and me to be that miracle. They are free!!!!!
I wish I could show you there entire face. For obvious reasons we continue to shield the identities of the slaves being freed. But you can at least see their smiles.
They are smiling because they are free. For the first time in years, they woke up today and aren’t making bricks.
Their debt was PAID IN FULL by the radical generosity of donors to Conduit Mission. We’re so thankful to you for your generosity and to Mark & Victoria Bowling for inviting us into this journey of setting captives free.
Thank you for trusting us to be the conduit of your generosity.
